From May 27 to 30, 2025, a dynamic delegation of close to 30 Québec startups will take part in the inaugural edition of Web Summit Vancouver, organized by the City of Montréal and Québec Tech, with support from LOJIQ – Les Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec. This new event, following in the footsteps of Collision in Toronto, will host over 1,500 startups and 15,000 delegates from around the world.

Several key players committed to supporting Québec’s tech startups will also be in attendance, including the McGill Dobson Center, MT Lab, La Base entrepreneuriale HEC Montréal, Quantino, and Zú. Together, they form an ecosystem dedicated to bold, sustainable innovation.

This joint trade mission aims to promote Québec innovation internationally and provide concrete opportunities for networking, funding, and visibility for participating companies.

A Rich and Diverse Ecosystem

In total, more than 30 Québec startups will make the trip, half of which are supported by university incubators such as La Base entrepreneuriale HEC Montréal and the McGill Dobson Center. Among them, 15 companies are supported by Québec Tech and LOJIQ.

The delegation reflects the vibrancy of Québec’s tech ecosystem, with startups active in key sectors such as information technologies, artificial intelligence, life sciences, Industry 4.0, agri-food, robotics, digital design, personal services, and clean tech.

AgFlo offers real-time monitoring of animal feed silos using wireless ultrasonic sensors and predictive analytics. Data is accessible through an intuitive dashboard or integrated into farm ERP systems. AgFlo helps prevent shortages, optimize deliveries, and reduce logistics costs.

Arvo uses AI to help health insurance companies detect fraud and optimize payment processes. By automating financial audits, Arvo aims to reduce errors and improve operational efficiency in the healthcare sector.

Bioeureka combines AI and image recognition to quickly identify pathogens in critical sectors like agri-food, environment, and health. This innovative tech accelerates microbiological testing and improves product safety.

Bo offers a B2B2C reusable container solution for food. Through a simple app, consumers borrow containers from partner restaurants and return them to drop-off points. Bo manages washing, redistribution, and tracking logistics for measurable impact.

BoundaryAI combines the richness of qualitative feedback with the simplicity of quantitative data to transform the way organizations collect and analyze feedback. This solution bridges the gap between rich but time-consuming qualitative analysis and rapid but often superficial quantitative analysis, providing precise and actionable insights for strategic decisions.

CanApply is an AI-powered platform that helps international students explore, choose, and apply to Canadian academic programs. With its virtual assistant Dana, CanApply offers personalized recommendations, automated document checks, and full support with admissions, visas, and funding.

Fizl is a mobile app for home service professionals, offering tools for appointment scheduling, client management, and invoicing, helping small service businesses operate efficiently and focus on their craft.
