Montreal, August 7, 2025 – As part of its strategy to achieve economic autonomy in response to trade tensions with the United States, the City of Montreal is granting $175,000 to Québec Tech to enhance its internationalization support services. This announcement was made during a press conference at Ax.c in the presence of municipal officials and economic partners.
This funding is part of a $1.35 million envelope deployed by the City to support seven strategic initiatives, several of which aim to diversify markets for Montreal-based SMEs
With this contribution, Québec Tech will be able to support 18 high-potential emerging Montreal tech companies, notably by:

The support for Québec Tech is part of a broader $1.35 million envelope invested by the City to fund seven complementary projects, led notably by the Montreal World Trade Centre, Mmode, PME MTL, and other stakeholders committed to reinforcing export capacity, commercial resilience, and local sourcing for Montreal-based businesses.
