From June 11 to 14, 2025, Québec stood out on the global innovation stage at VivaTech, Europe’s largest tech event. Its participation, as part of the Canadian delegation led by Scale AI, led to a series of major strategic announcements, confirming the strength and growing international appeal of Québec’s tech ecosystem.
Thanks to the joint mobilization of organizations such as Investissement Québec International, LOJIQ – Les Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec, and Québec Tech, this mission, which brought together 40 Québec startups, enabled the establishment of transformative partnerships in key sectors for Québec’s future.
The outcomes of this mission highlight both the quality of innovations developed in Québec and their attractiveness to European stakeholders. Most importantly, they reflect the growing collaboration between Québec and French companies and institutions—an essential lever to jointly tackle the technological and environmental challenges of the coming decades.
Key highlights include:
“What we witnessed at VivaTech 2025 went far beyond a typical international event: it was a concrete demonstration of Québec companies’ ability to forge meaningful partnerships with European leaders in future-oriented sectors. These outcomes not only strengthen Québec’s global positioning, but also foster a long-term collaboration dynamic between our innovation ecosystems.”
Philippe Valentine, Director, Commercialization and Partnerships, Québec Tech
These breakthroughs were made possible by the unprecedented presence of 46 Québec startups, representing nearly half of the Canadian companies at VivaTech 2025.
Also noteworthy is the unprecedented political mobilization to support Quebec innovation internationally: the Canadian Minister of Artificial Intelligence, Evan Solomon, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mélanie Joly, and the Premier of Quebec, François Legault,
The participating companies, supported by leading incubators and accelerators such as Centech, C3E, ACET, Espace CDPQ, Le Camp, LEOV, My Global Village, Quantino, Zú, MT Lab, and Montréal International, reflect Québec’s sectoral diversity and bold technological approach.
This mission was more than a showcase—it served as a platform for influence, matchmaking, and strategic engagement. The concrete announcements from this edition confirm that Québec is a trusted tech partner, ready to collaborate with the world’s most advanced ecosystems to build a digital future that is sustainable, sovereign, and inclusive.
